Chapter I: Monkey?Monkey!
Through graphic ingenuity, the designs avoid literal depictions of monkeys while still allowing viewers to recognize the animal and its amusing characteristics.

Chapter II: Twelve Years Old
With a single continuous line, each form is sketched into being: looping and winding to shape monkeys and tell a small, engaging story.

Twelve Years Old
At that time, I wanted to catch the moon.
Because the Moon belongs to the future of humanity,
but the moon was mine.
At that time, I felt that things were always messy and overwhelming.
Adults said that every problem has a solution.
But I believed that not solving something
could also be a way of solving it.
At that time, I was often saddened by partings.
My twelve years old,
along with that season’s cicadas, I could never catch,
were buried in the soil.

Chapter III: 7:50 Using a unified graphic system, I created a range of animated monkey forms that capture a sequence of reactions as college students realize they are about to be late for an early morning class.
